Trend Report: Flat twist on transitioning hair

Women of color are gradually embracing their hair type and I happen to be one of them as I am currently transitioning. While going through this process, there are a few hair styles that have become quite popular and right now, the flat twist on transitioning hair has become quite a trend. I just want to take you through the best possible way to get a flat twist on transitioning hair.

To get the perfect flat twsit on transitioning hair, you should start out by detangling your hair and getting it moisturised. To moisturize, you should adopt the L.O.C (Liquid, Oil, Cream) method and to do so, you need to follow these steps:

* Section your hair and apply your products.
* Spray some water on your hair with your spritz bottle or a mixture of a good leave-in-conditioner and water with water still being the major content.
* Afterwards, do apply some oil on the hair and you can use a mixture of any of the following oils; Then for the oil, coconut oil, palm kernel oil, avocado oil, argan oil, jojoba oil or grapeseed oil, olive oil.
* Once the oil has gone through your hair, apply the hair cream and I recommend hair butter like Shea butter, cocoa butter or mango butter.

Once everything is applied, detangle with a wide tooth comb and begin to flat twist.

The amazing thing about flat twists is that you can wear them exactly the way they are or do a twist out (that’s loosening it and rocking your curls). This can actually go for about a week or more depending on how you maintain it. This you can do using the hair hold.

Drop your comments to let me know if you actually found this helpful and if there is any other hairstyles for transitioning hair you will like for me to research on.
