Count down to the 2015 Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week

It’s just a few weeks to the much anticipated Lagos Fashion and Design Week (LFDW) which is tagged #HeinekenLFDW2015Lagos. This event is set to take place for 4 days starting from the 28th of October 2015 to the 31st of October, 2015. This is the 5th year of the show and has become “The Celebratory Issue”.

With a mix of fresh and returning partners, the brand is gearing up for a remarkable 4 -days, featuring the LFDW X British Council Fashion Focus series, an initiative to support the professional development of emerging talent in Nigeria, the LFDW X Retail Exhibition Space, the LFDW Fashion Business Series, and LFDW runway shows featuring new seasons’ collections from Africa’s leading designers.

Throughout the course of the week, over 4,000 fashion insiders, including buyers, retailers, local & international press, celebrities, models, and special guests will make their way through the #HeinekenLFDW2015 doors.

Two of the major highlights of #HeinkenLFDW2015 event will be, the Fashion Business Series & The X Retail Exhibition Space.

Hosted by Style House Files, founders Lagos Fashion and Design Week and supported by the Bank of Industry (BOI), who have recently launched the fashion fund to facilitate the growth of the fashion industry, the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), focused on supporting export opportunities and Sterling Bank, whose competitive SME loan is open to fashion entrepreneurs, the Fashion Business Series will feature an impressive lineup of speakers.

‘Economically, it has been a challenging year as oil is no longer a sustainable source of the nation’s wealth. It is imperative we diversify and fashion could easily be one of the many opportunities to improve our current economic challenges. Returning to #HeinekenLFDW2015 will be the X Retail Exhibition Space which will feature a curated expose, profiling the revolutionary work of African fashion creatives in the past 5 years.
