H and M Balmain launch took place earlier today in London. This was in line with H&M’s annual collaborations with top designers which allows the designers to make a collection that is way cheaper than the usual price for which it is sold.
The collection was made available for sale today but as at Wednesday night, reports on The Guardian, says that shoppers were already queuing up to get their hands on any of the outfits. The hype around this collaboration was inevitable starting with the Instagram campaign which was done with the Balmain’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing.
Though the designs are expected to sell at the price of high street fashion, the Balmain designs for H&M were still more expensive than the high street fashion price but certainly way cheaper than what Balmain could have sold for. For instance, we did read that there were some items being sold for about 129 pounds.
For some, it was an avenue to do business as they got the designs for a certain amount and sold it back right on the streets for a higher value for any other customer who was desperate enough to need it.
