Kenechukwu Uba’s friends put together a baby shower with the theme, “Guess the gender” on Saturday, the 29th of August, 2015. It was a surprise baby shower for Kene as she is fondly called by friends but her friends also had to prepare themselves for the surprise when she unveils the gender of the unborn child.
Those who thought the child is a girl were expected to wear a pink attire while those who thought the child was a boy were to adorn themselves in a blue attire.
Before the big announcement, her friends which included Tessy, Oma Ehiri, Chioma Odunoye, Angel, Chidinma, Jennifer, Vera, Edirinn, Eloho and a few others, were expected to play “How well do you know Kene”. At the end of the game, Oma won that round and also won the “Guess what I am craving” which involved the celebrant using her hands to describe what she was craving and her friends had to guess what it was.
Other games included “Blow the balloon” which Eloho and her partner and then the “sort and match” which Jennifer clinged the ultimate prize at that.
In the end, kene let the cat out of the bag as she announced that she was expecting a baby girl. We wish Kenechukwu safe delivery as she gets ready to put to bed and many more beautiful kids to come even after this.
The celebrant was made up by Chioma Oduonye and the food was prepared by Eloho. Chioma Odunonye and Vera were responsible for spearheading the organisation of the baby shower as well as the decoration of the venue which was at Kenechukwu’s family home in Akoka. The host of the event was also Vera.
Everyone beamed with smiles at the memories created at the event reminding us that no matter how busy life gets, never forget what truly matters. Find time to stick by your friends and create wonderful memories with them.
