World PR Media held the 8th luxury Beauty Brunch in Lagos, Nigeria. The event which was well attended by beauty experts, influencers, beauty enthusiasts and the media, took place on the 27th of July, 2019.
Highlights of the 8th Luxury Beauty Brunch
- Dr. Uju Rapu spoke on the devastating effects of lightening the skin with hydroquinone and other potent bleaching agents.
- Chinelu Ikeme of MyHair Ltd mentioned some of the adverse effects of not wearing the right wig accessories. For example, it is imperative to wear a wig cap before putting on your wig.
- Taos Beauty Hub boss, Vanessa Onwughalu, addressed makeup products and their expiration dates. One major takeaway feom her session was that users MUST insist that makeup artistes clean their brushes before using it on their skin.
- Vienne Odofin, a beauty strategist, appealed with beauty enterpreneurs to be careful of their formulations owing to the fact that the lives of end users depends on it. She advised them to focus more on research before releasing products. As for users, kmowing what we want will help brands release the right products, she said.
The most interesting topic of the day was by Dr. Ifeoma Abajue. Dr. Ifeoma spoke on anti aging focusing on the blood as the best anti aging serum. Other things mentioned were the benefits of vampire facials, chemical peels and botox. It will interest you to know that botox is not bad but MUST be carried out by the right expert.
Ariyiike Dimples anchored the event and as usual, guests were treated to games, light food by House Cafe and drinks by Hunters Cocktails and Don Tee.
If there is anything that everyone looks out for during the Luxury beauty brunch, it is the best dressed. The brunch has a color theme each edition and this wasn’t any different. This time, the color was mustard and the winner went home with a goody bag by Aroma Athelier. Other guests were also treated to goody bags from Skinsational Skincare, Adunni Organics, and Beauty by AD.
