What’s Trending: Count Down To The Champion League Finals

As we count down to the champion league finals, we bring you tits and bits if what you should know particularly as we get ready to play the ‘Predict & Win’ on our platforms with lots of goodies up for grabs.

Background

Juventus and Barcelona will be playing at the Champions League finals tomorrow, the 6th of June 2015. This is the first time in 12 years that Juventus will be appearing at the finals of the Champions League. Juventus has won the title 2ice while Barcelona has won it 4 times. They have both appeared in the European cup 8 times respectively, with this being the 8th. Juventus got to this stage by deposing Real Madrid while Barcelona deposed Bayern Munich.

Time of the Match

The match will be played at 7:45pm Nigerian Time. You can watch it on Super Sport3 on DSTV.

We are not certain of the line up but the possible line up for Juventus is Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Barzagli, Evra; Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba; Vidal; Tévez, Morata while th epossible line up for Barcelona is Ter Stegen; Alves, Piqué, Mascherano, Alba; Rakitić, Busquets, Iniesta; Messi, Suárez, Neymar. culled from Uefa Champions League

Expectations

Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi admits that “anything can happen”. “We know it will not be easy,” Messi said. “But we have the chance to be champions again and that is what the club and everyone is hoping for.” “[Tevez] is a great player and [Juventus] are a difficult opponent, physically strong,” he added. “It is a final and anything can happen. But we are ready as we were in the previous ones.”

Tevez on the other hand ad this to say; “Messi and I will think more about the game than meeting face-to-face,” he said. “We are teammates with Argentina and we both want to win the Champions League.” “Barca is the strongest team in the world, and they have the three best forwards on the planet,” he added. “So we must work a lot and play a perfect game.”…… culled from ESPN FC

Updates

As at 16:45 Nigerian time, Juventua started its open trainig session at the Olympiastadion. At 17:45 Nigerian time, Barcelona will have a press conference featuring Luis Enrique, Gerard Pique and Neymar. At 18:45pm, Nigerian time, Barcelona begins its open training session at the Olympiastadion.
