1. “Everybody loves Jenifa” – Funke Akindele

Funke Akindele’s latest movie, set to hit cinemas on December 13th, marks another chapter in her iconic portrayal of Jenifa. She first brought the character to life in the 2011 comedy The Return of Jenifa, and later returned to the role in 2015 with the TV series Jenifa’s Diary, which she created through her production company, Scene One Productions. The movie features an impressive cast, including Nancy Isime, Stan Nze, Falz, Lateef Adedimeji, Jackie Appiah, Destiny Etiko, Layi Wasabi, and Omowunmi Dada.

2. Thin Line- Mercy Aigbe

Mercy Aigbe is set to release Thin Line in December 13 in cinemas, featuring a strong cast of familiar faces. The movie stars Iyabo Ojo, Jaye Kuti, Yvonne Jegede, Uche Montana, Niyi Johnson, and Uzor Arukwe, promising an engaging and dynamic performance lineup.

3. Alakada! Bad and Boujee- Toyin Abraham

Toyin Abraham gave fans their first glimpse of Alakada: Bad and Boujee with a promotional film poster shared on her Instagram page. Over the following months, she kept her followers excited by sharing videos of herself dancing and offering thrilling teasers for the movie. The movie is set to be released in cinemas on December 20th with stars such as Bimbo Ademoye, Olumide Oworu, Ronke Odusanya, IK Ogbonna, Bimbo Akintola, and Toke Makinwa in the film.

4. Christmas in Lagos- Jade Osiberu

Jade Osiberu’s Christmas in Lagos is set against the vibrant backdrop of Lagos during Detty December, the movie blends parties, love stories, and family drama.  The movie has talented cast that includes Angel Anosike, along with special appearances by Waje, Ayra Starr, and Adekunle Gold, the film is a celebration of love, music, and the lively spirit of Lagos. The movie will be out on the 20th of December on Prime Video.

5. Seven Doors

Femi Adebayo’s Seven Doors tells the tale of a Yoruba king  and his Igbo queen. Their marriage, which symbolizes peace, faces challenges when a Hausa investor disrupts the kingdom’s traditions. With themes of love, betrayal, and restitution, the series features a stellar cast, including Adebayo Salami, Ronke Oshodi, Muyiwa Ademola, Jide Kosoko, Aisha Lawal, Yinka Quadri, Gabriel Afolayan, and more, promising a rich, cultural experience for audiences. The movie will be out on the 13th of December on Netflix.

6. One Night Guests

One Night Guests is a suspenseful drama that dives deep into the complexities of human relationships and the unpredictable twists of fate. This exciting Ghana-Nigeria collaboration is set to be released on December 25th. The film boasts a star-studded cast featuring acclaimed actors such as Majid Michel, James Gardiner, Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha, Chidi Mokeme, Ini Edo, Roselyn Ngissah, Yvonne Okoro, Akah Nnani, Lasisi Elenu, Annabel Apara, and many more talented performers from both Ghana and Nigeria.
