It’s been one week since Lenovo hosted Tech Bloggers and Media entrepreneurs at its Headquaters in Mulliner Towers, Ikoyi.
The function which had in attendance Nike Fowose, Demola Adetona, Oma Ehiri, Kemi Filani, the TechCity crew, Farabale and a few others, was anchored by the company’s marketing manager for phones and tablets, Mr. Bolade Oyekanmi. The aim of the event was simply to introduce guests to the wide array of products which Lenovo has in Nigeria, explain its functionalities and get us to familiarize with its specifications.
Mr. Bolade Oyekanmi spoke extensively on the smartphones and we had a few that did catch our attention. We are yet to use any of the devices. Thus, all of our recommendations are based on our first glimpse of the devices. They are;
Lenovo A319
This is very affordable for a dual sim phone, costing less than 15,000 Naira. It has a good sound quality since it comes with a Dolby Digital plus. It also has an inbuilt storage space of 4GB storage space which can be expanded to about 32GB using a microSD card.
Lenovo A5000 and Lenovo P70
We like these because they have the ability to charge other devices. It is simply finding a powerbank in a phone. That’s pretty amazing, don’t you think? The P70 brags of 3days of battery life depending on the usage.
Lenovo S90 and Lenovo S60
We like the innovation that comes with this device seeing that it has a front flash light for taking selfies under a low light condition. That’s goodbye to dark selfies.
The peak of the event was the presentation by the Sales man of Lenovo, Mr. Ranti, who came with the sole purpose of introducing the Lenovo Yoga series to all. Not only did he humor us, he succeeded in convincing all to get a Yoga with the amazing features presented to us.
The Lenovo Yoga series comes in 3 variants with all having the ability to tilt, tent, stand and tablet- 360degress. They come in amazing colors allowing for you to define your style with the PC. It seems quite affordable selling between 70 and 105 thousand Naira in the market, depending on the retailer. It also operates on Windows 8.1 but can be upgraded to the latest version of windows, Windows 10.
At the end of the event came the pictures, networking, interviews and we called it, a good start into the weekend!
