Blue For Autism Awareness

2nd of April is World Autism Awareness Day. To join in the awareness, we are expected to wear blue on this day. Asides from wearing blue, you need to be well aware of what autism is all about. We did talk about it HERE and we encourage you to check it out because, not only does it touch on autism, it goes further to teach you how to take care of autistic people.

As to why blue, it started with the Light It Up Blue Campaign which is said to have started in 2011. What happens is that different places in the United States are usually lighted up in blue in honour of this day. According to Wikipedia, Donald Trump actually lighted the white house in blue for the first time this year.

We found a really interesting article on Light It Up Blue, posted on www.autismspeaks.org. Read Up and be informed.
