Let’s Play Ten-Ten

Little drops of water makes a mighty ocean as the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. This is also applicable to eradicating extreme poverty in our society. It is very crucial in attaining development in this part of the world. Fifehanmi Bankole must have been thinking this way when he formed the Ten-Ten charity foundation and started the charity game under the foundation, let’s play ten-ten.

Let’s play ten-ten is a cultural innovation dealing with poverty alleviation and socio-economic development. It is creatively designed as a social micro-giving savings-for-charity game. It was spurn out of the foundation’s belief in the power of micro-giving as little means so much to someone somewhere. It is a framework that makes micro-giving fun, flexible and fulfilling for anyone.
The aim of this charity game is to build a pan-African social movement that empowers and inspires people to help people and inspire nations to engage in systemic pro-social activities. Beyond that, it also seeks to empower participants through strategic capacity development in leadership/community development, civic engagement and entrepreneurship.
The game has already been launched in Nigeria with the aim of inspiring 10,000,000 Nigerians in 10 years to play ten-ten. The initial focus will be in 10 cities-Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, Ibadan, Ilorin, Warri, Ekiti and Enugu.
In order to be a part of this laudable movement, all you need to do is become a player by saving every ten naira you have for the sole purpose of giving it to charity every quarter. You can also become a star player by inspiring 9 other people to join you n playing ten-ten and to form a local ten-ten club. Being a star player comes with its benefits. Asides from the certificate of recognition for outstanding contribution to charity and nation building, you also qualify for subsidised or free leadership, community development, civic engagement and entrepreneurship trainings that are organised by reputable partner organisations.
