The unveiling of new mystic lines by Veba Textile Mills, was one night to be remembered in the minds of many. It was a night to experience good fashion made possible by the designs created using Veba Mystic lines themed, “Brilliant at all Times”.
In addition was the scintillating performance by Femileye, the fresh sound of Afro Jazz, Naomi Mac, Toni Tones, Zoro and Jazz. These acts left us in awe as they added so much spice to the event.
Speaking on the new collection, Jana Masinova, the head of Veba Sales, worldwide says, “Our new collection is from the mystic lines and consists of printed designs on a brocade. The design of the basic fabric are stripes and these are overprinted by several designs in various colourways. Wearing these fabrics you can see at certain angles that the stripes show up and also disappear. That is why we call them Mystic Lines”.
We were treated to a total of 7 designs with 6 designers from Nigeria and one from Europe. The Nigerian designers were Tayo Coture, Dozzy Couture, Pearl Chucks, Jorge Blaq, Yetty D and Elan Fashion.
At the end of the show, the judges made up of Godson Ukaegbu (Editor of Mania Magazine), Jana Masinova (Head of Veba sales world wode), Lubica Hoskova (Head of Veba Sales, Nigeria) and Jane Michael Ekanem (Fashion Stylist), had a tough time selecting the winning design. Finally, with 3 votes to 1, they selected Elan Fashion.
They also awarded the best male model, Dubem Okafor and the best female model, Chinemerem.
