If we were to give an award for the most enchanting designs at the 2015 Lagos Fashion and Design Week (LFDW), we will most likely give it to Toju Foyeh.
Toju Foyeh reemphasised our thoughts on wedding gowns and Nigerian designers. Except of course you have a particular designer in mind that you have always dreamt of wearing down the aisle, Nigerian designers are very well equipped to do an amazing job that leaves any groom breathless as his bride works down the bride. We guess that was the point Toju was trying to make when she made those designs and that was the impression she left in the hearts of all, as the models walked the runway in her designs.
From the flirty little gown
to the fascinators on the models and then the head gear which is clearly an Abeke design, everything was absolutely in place. Though we had the traditional veil on one of the models,
Toju Foyeh seemed to be sending a different message about veils on wedding gowns. The message was, ‘how to rock a fascinator or a head gear on your wedding gown instead of a veil and still look absolutely stunning’.
