5 Designers to Look Out For at AFWN 2017

It’s 3days to the 4th edition of Africa Fashion Week Nigeria happening at National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos, Nigeria. Like we mentioned HERE, this 2day event will feature at least 50designers who have been divided into different categories. After looking at the lineup, I am looking forward to a really interesting show that will leave me inspired with styles. However, here are the 5 designers that I am currently looking to see on the runway;

Veba

The Czech-owned textile company has been showcasing on this platform for 3years now. I have seen the current collection of their designs and I m over the moon about them. They have all these patterns that any creative designers should jump on. With every fabric, I am already thinking lots of designs that can be made out of it that I can’t seem to decide which one to go for. Well, this year, they have teamed up with Ofumam Couture and I am looking forward to viewing all that she has created with the fabrics. Maybe I can cop one off the runway for my next event.

Sally Bawa

It has been a while since I saw new designs from Sally Bawa which is why I am looking out for it. I know they have minimalist designs but let’s see what they are about to release.

Tiannah Styling

Last year, Tiannah styling was on fire! Their runway show was so energetic and exciting with celebrities on the runway wearing Tiannah. This year, I can’t wait to see what stunt they are going to pull on the runway.

Nipo skin

This is a Ghanian designer based in Kumasi and they were here kast year. Their designs are pretty nice. They did prints and did the whole mix and match of designs which really caught my attention. I love when a designer can play with patterns.

Looks like a good man

We know Looks like a Good Man, don’t we? The designer who celebrities have been wearing for quite some time now. Like his name, his designs are good. I am looking to see if he brings a celebrity on the runway since they all wear his designs.
